Kurnool: Minister for Lift Irrigation M. Mareppa launched the works under Praja Patham in the 40th ward in the city on Tuesday. Mr. Mareppa said the Government had adopted a focused approach for development of cities and villages under Praja Patham programme. It would aim at creating basic amenities in human habitations. He formally started the road and drain works costing Rs. 9.99 lakhs. Later, Mr. Mareppa surprised everyone by having tea in a roadside tea stall. Corporators Nirmala, Ramudu, Babu Raju and Pulla Reddy took part.
