KOLLAM: A 44-year-old man Chandrababu was fatally assaulted by his neighbour and relative, Anil Kumar, 32, at Chadayamangalam on Monday. Anil Kumar is a police constable attached to the Alappuzha Armed Reserve Camp. The police said Chandrababu picked up a quarrel with Kumar on Monday night in an inebriated condition. This led to fisticuffs and Chandrababu suffered serious internal injuries. The body was handed over to his relatives after a post-mortem examination on Tuesday. The Chadayamangalam police have registered a case and Kumar has been arrested.
