SFI urged to reveal stand on Palissery's candidature

Thrissur: The Kerala Students' Union on Wednesday urged the Students' Federation of India (SFI) to reveal its stand on Babu M. Palissery who was the 13th accused in the SFI activist Syedali murder case contesting as Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidate in Kunnamkulam.

Addressing a press conference here, KSU State president P. C. Vishnunath said that SFI, CPI(M) or LDF leaders did not respond to the controversy over Mr. Palissery's candidature despite the allegations made by Congress and UDF leaders. ``M. Sankaranayanan, alumnus of Government Sanskrit College, changed his name to Babu M. Palissery recently.
