Overhead tank to be completed by June 15

Hyderabad: The overhead water tank being constructed on the premises of the State Central Library at Afzalgunj will be completed by June 15.

The Rs. 78-lakh tank with 2.2-lakh gallon capacity will improve water supply in Ashok Bazar, Darushifa, Gowliguda, Durgamata temple and other adjoining areas.

V. Jambul Reddy, Director (Technical), HMWSSB, informed this to Minister for Information Mohd. Ali Shabbir during the Praja Patham programme on Tuesday.

Mr. Jambul Reddy later told presspersons that pipes had to be laid for a distance of 400 metres.

For this, permission was being sought from the R&B to take up road cutting work.
