`Admit children in State-run schools'

Staff Reporter

Minister advises parents to admit children in Government schools

HYDERABAD : Parents of students in private schools in the State are forced to pay full fee even during summer holidays and it seems the Government doesn't want to take any responsibility in containing this daylight robbery.

Or at least that is what is the view expressed by the School Education Minister Nedurumalli Rajyalakshmi.

She blamed the parents for first admitting their children in private schools and then paying the fee without any resistance. "Admit your children in the Government schools" was her advice when reporters brought the issue to her notice. She was speaking to reporters after inaugurating the workshop on Use of Library Application Software in Public and Government Libraries.

When the media men questioned why parents should pay the fee when their children sit at home and wanted to know if the Government would take any action against the private schools, the Minister evaded a reply.
