Bishop dead

CHENNAI:
Rev. G. Rajkumar, founder-chairman, St. John's group of schools, and Bishop of St. John's Evangelical Mission, died here on Tuesday night. He was 73.
Rev. Rajkumar, also founder editor of Dina Thoothu, a Tamil daily, had been sick for the past three months. His condition worsened on Monday, and he was declared dead at a private hospital on Tuesday night, said his son R. Kishore Kumar.
Born in a village near Srivaikundam in Tuticorin district, Rev. Rajkumar started his first school in Chennai in 1968.
Now the group has eight schools. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters. The Mission he headed had 10 churches in Chennai.
