ALAPPUZHA: The Medom festival of St. Geroge Forane Church at Edathua will be held from April 27 to May 14, vicar Antony Porookkara has said. Fr. Porookkara said here on Wednesday that all arrangements have been made for the accommodation of pilgrims who arrive at the church from various parts of the State and southern districts of Tamil Nadu to take part in the festival. During the festival, the holy mass would be held in Tamil and Malayalam from May 4 to May 7. Bishop of Thakkala diocese in Tamil Nadu Mar George Alancherry would be the chief guest at the festival on May 4. The festival would begin with a holy mass at 6 a.m. on April 27. A novena would be held at 7 a.m. The holy mass and novena would held on all days of the festival.
