Ashokanand to take charge as MUDA Commissioner

MYSORE: H.S. Ashokanand, Director of Abdul Nazir Sab State Institute of Rural Development (ANSSIRD), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Commissioner of the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) after the Government suspended Commissioner S.N. Nagaraj. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) on Tuesday, Mr. Ashokanand will hold additional charge as Commissioner of the MUDA till further orders.

Meanwhile, the Government order suspending Mr. Nagaraj as Commissioner of the MUDA was served on him on Wednesday. The order will come into force with immediate effect, pending disciplinary action.

Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy had ordered the suspension of Mr. Nagaraj after he reportedly made derogatory remarks against the Government and the Chief Minister.
