Ramanathapuram: Union Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation G. K. Vasan has urged the voters to teach a lesson to the AIADMK for its misrule in the State during the last five years.

Addressing a wayside meeting held here to seek votes for the Congress candidate K. Hussan Ali, who is contesting from Ramanathapuram constituency, he said the AIADMK Government failed miserably during its tenure.

People from all walks of life including teachers, government servants, weavers, farmers, businessmen, landless farmers suffered a lot owing to the autocratic functioning of the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

Miseries were the achievements of the AIADMK Government.

Students were subjected to untold miseries following various irrelevant decisions of the State Government.

It failed to deliver goods when tsunami struck the State.

Its party men were the sole beneficiaries during the recent unprecedented flood.

In spite of repeated pleas, it did not release detailed statement about the distribution of flood relief to the people.

He said the Central Government had brought various schemes to the tune of Rs.27,000 crore to Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, the AIADMK Government had done nothing to Tamil Nadu.
