ERODE: A temple priest was murdered by another, here on Thursday. According to the police, Chinnan (55) of Kanakkampalayam near Kodumudi was a temple priest at the Mayavar Temple there, and Shanmugam at Maduraiveeran Temple. Following a quarrel, Shanmugam stabbed Chinnan, who died on the spot. Balan, a villager who ran to Chinnan's rescue was also stabbed. Shanmugam is at large.
