Basava Jayanti to be celebrated on April 30

BHADRAVATI: Basava Jayanti will be celebrated here on April 30, and May 1 on a grand scale.

Principal secretary of the National Basavadala Trust H.S. Basavaraj said milk and bread would be distributed to patients in the Government General Hospital in Old Town on Sunday. A procession would be taken out on Sunday evening from Sri Manjunatha Swamy Kalyan Mandir to the Basava Mantap.

A blood donation camp will be organised on Monday. Those intending to donate blood may register their names by contacting Mr. G.P. Sadananda on ph. 9448817238.

The trust president B.C Mahalingappa would preside over the programme "Basva Sandesha" on Monday evening.
