CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to authorize dignitaries, senior officers and persons to use red lights atop their official vehicles under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. In a notification issued here on Friday the State Transport Department, the dignitaries, senior officers and persons entitled to use red light include Governor of Haryana, Chief Minister, Chief Justice and Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Legal Remembrancer, all Cabinet and State Ministers, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly. The others include Members of Parliament and Haryana State Legislative Assembly, Chief Parliamentary Secretary and Parliamentary Secretaries, State Election Commissioner and Chief Secretary, Haryana.
Similarly, all Financial Commissioners and Principal Secretaries, Administrative Secretaries, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Director General of Police, all
