MANGALORE: The Mangalore City Corporation Council meeting on Friday witnessed some embarrassing moments when ruling Congress member Vishwanath and 14 members of the BJP staged a dharna for different issues. Mr. Vishwanath, who had complained in the last meeting that his area was getting contaminated water, raised the issue again. When he was told that the problem had been solved, Mr. Vishwanath did not relent and said he had received a few complaints in the morning. He began a dharna stating that he would not withdraw his protest till the problem was set right. After some time, Mr. Vishwanth was joined by the Bharatiya Janata Party members who raised slogans against the Mayor for the city corporation's failure to tackle the problems faced by the people.
