MANGALORE: The Dakshina Kannada district committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday launched a campaign in all wards of the Mangalore City Corporation to highlight the "failures" of the Congress in handling the city administration. The campaign will culminate with a "Nagara palike chalo" from the Town Hall to the corporation office on May 5. K. Monappa Bhandary, spokesperson of the unit, told presspersons here on Friday that the Congress had been in charge of civic administration for nearly 50 years. Despite this, it had failed in developing civic amenities. Mr. Bhandary said that the Congress did not take steps to resolve various problems confronting the city.
