VISAKHAPATNAM: People's wish to see the Congress Government complete its five-year term and the "indiscriminate distribution of money by Congress leaders" were the reasons for the Telugu Desam Party losing the Visakha-I byelection, alleged TDP candidate S.A. Rehaman. Briefing the press here on Friday, Dr. Rahman said "The people in my constituency are well aware of the developmental activities that I had undertaken during by tenure as MLA and as Chairman of the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority but the electorate also understood that electing me this time would not benefit them as I represent an Opposition party."
