Shunglu panel to meet again on May 9

NEW DELHI : The V.K. Shunglu Committee on relief and rehabilitation of Narmada dam oustees in Madhya Pradesh held detailed discussions on the second day on Friday on a Work Schedule.

The Group met members of the Central Water Commission, the Narmada Control Authority and the National Sample Survey Organisation. In keeping with its mandate to conduct a survey in the affected areas, the Group would adopt the methodology of the NSSO.

"The Committee is hopeful of completing its work within the specific period and expects cooperation from all stakeholders," official sources said.

It will meet again on May 9.
