Kumaraswamy urged to act against police

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Institute of Oncology has urged Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to take action against police officers who did not act against miscreants who indulged in vandalism following the death of Rajkumar.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, who holds the Home portfolio, the management of the institute said the city police totally failed in performing their duty of providing security to the citizens.

The citizens were left to the mercy of "hooligans and goondas."

The management said the vandals did not spare even hospitals which were damaged in stone throwing.

The new building of the institute on Mission Road was also damaged, it said.
