ERODE: If his party is elected to power, the uneducated youth will be given decent employment, said Vijayakant, founder of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam, here on Friday.
Linking of rivers
Addressing an election meeting, he said though both the DMK and the MK enjoyed power in the State for many years, they failed to take up developmental works and schemes. As water supply was an all-time problem, he would concentrate on linking of rivers, Mr. Vijayakant said. He said he was the one who announced provision of 15 kg of free rice to family cardholders and employment to 1.8 crore youth. He said he would give a clean administration if elected. Later, he introduced all the 10 DMDK candidates contesting in the district.
