Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University is offering financial assistance to writers in printing Telugu literature, culture and history books written by them. Registrar of the University Acharya Gurumurthy said applications are being invited for 2006-07 from writers for financial assistance to get books pertaining to Telugu literature, culture and history written in Telugu and other languages printed. Filled in applications should reach in-charge, Potti Sri Ramulu University before May 31.
Annual exams
Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University will conduct annual examinations for all courses offered by the Government Music and Dance Colleges. Exams for the certificate courses will be on May 22 while for diploma courses exams will be on May 23 and 24. Candidates can collect the hall tickets from college principals from May 15.
Music fete
The music wing of Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University recently conducted `Tyagaraja Aradhanosthavam' at N.T.R. Kalamandir in the university.
Dance training
Telugu University, is conducting 45-day Kuchipudi dance training programme at Sri Siddendra Yogi Kuchipudi Kalapeetham in Krishna district from May1. In a press release, the university Public Relations Officer said that the programme would be held in junior and senior streams and students would be provided accommodation on the peetham premises. Kakatiya University
The university has received only 75 applications this academic year. It is argued that the demand was less as the course has no job potential. N. Ravi, principal of Adarsha Law College pointed out that students were not available at PG level as the pass percentage at the graduation level had come down.
