Heat wave likely

in north T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Telangana and Kerala and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

On Saturday, heat wave conditions prevailed over parts of north Tamil Nadu.

The maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over interior Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka, rose at one or two places over coastal Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at a few places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, Kerala, rest Rayalaseema and coastal Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Forecast (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Heat wave warning: Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over parts of north Tamil Nadu during next two days.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
