Dasavatharachaarthu at Aranmula temple

PATHANAMTHITTA: The Dasavatharachaarthu at the Sree Parthasarathy Temple in Aranmula will be held from May 3 to 14. According to Travancore Devaswom Board officials in Aranmula, the Dasavatharachaarthu will be held at 6 p.m. on all days.

Srimad Bhagavatha Saptaha Yajnam will also be held at the temple from May 8 to 14 in connection with the ritual, they said. Pallickal Saseendra Swami will be the `Yajnacharya' of the Bhagavatha Saptaha Yajnam.

Tantri Narayanan Vasudevan Bhattathiripad of Kuzhikkattu Illom will inaugurate the Yajnam by lighting a ceremonial lamp on May 8. A Kalabhabhishekom will be performed to the presiding deity at 11.30 a.m. on May 14.

The flowers for the Pushpabhishekom will be taken out in a ceremonial procession from the Edayaranmula Vilakkumadom to the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple on May 14 afternoon. The Tantri will lead a Kalabhabhishekom followed by Pushpabhishekom later in the evening.
