`Varanasi blast accused reveals associates' identity'

VARANASI: The prime accused of the terror attacks in the temple city has disclosed identities of his close associates involved in the twin blasts in the Sankat Mochan temple and the cantonment railway station last month, a senior police official said on Sunday.

Vital details

The accused Md Waliullah has divulged ``some vital details'' about those with whom he had planned and executed the twin blasts on March 7 in which over 20 people were killed, district Senior Superintendent of Police G. K. Goswami told reporters here.

Mr. Goswami, however, refused to divulge the details of revelations of Waliullah, who was remanded in police custody till May 3, as it would impede further investigation in the blast cases.

Drive against criminals

Referring to the law and order situation in the district, Mr.Goswami said a drive to nab 105 criminals would be launched from Monday and a three-member police team has constituted to arrest each of them.
