"Most influential people"

New York: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and his country's gang rape victim Mukhtaran Mai, who won recognition for her fight against her assailants, have one thing in common — they share the honour of being named on the list of ``100 most influential people' in the world by the Time magazine. Among Indians, Nandan Nilekani, the head of the software giant Infosys, and Vikram Akula, the founder of SKS Microfinance, which provides venture capital to the poor, also find mention in the list. The Time magazine has categorised the 100 people ``who shape the world'' under five different heads — heroes and pioneers, leaders and revolutionaries, scientists and thinkers, builders and titans and artists and entertainers.
