MRP system for drugs from July

NEW DELHI: Pharmaceutical companies will have to adhere to a new maximum retail price (MRP) system, which will factor in all taxes, from July as the Government has issued an order to amend the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1995 to this effect. It said the new system would come into force on drug batches that are produced on or after July 1.
