CHANDIGARH: Prem Prashant, IAS, on Monday took over as the new Chief Secretary of Haryana from Meenaxi Anand Chaudhary who retired on Sunday. Mr. Prashant was serving as Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice. Besides being the Chief Secretary, he will also look after General Administration, Personnel, Training, Vigilance and Parliamentary Affairs Departments. He has also been made Secretary in charge of Plan Coordination and Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary. A 1970-batch IAS officer, he has superseded two senior IAS officers.
