CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government is considering increasing the minimum wages for labour from Rs. 2,447 a month to Rs. 2,600 a month besides launching several welfare schemes for the working class, said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda addressing a function organised by the Haryana Cooperative Labour and Construction Federation on May Day. Mr.Hooda also presented prizes to cooperative labour construction societies for their outstanding contribution. Noting that the number of labour courts in Haryana had been increased from seven to nine, the Chief Minister said no one would be arrested in future while recovering pending cooperative loans.
