NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday conducted searches at the offices and residences of three Delhi Jal Board (DJB) officials and a company in connection with alleged corruption in the award of contracts worth about Rs. 4 crores for works including sewage de-silting at Patel Nagar in West Delhi. According to a release, the CBI recently registered a case against Lalit Mohan, superintendent engineer presently posted as an ad-hoc chief engineer, Veer Singh, an assistant engineer, and Dharam Singh, a junior engineer -- all attached to the Varunalaya drainage unit of DJB -- for alleged misuse of their official positions to award contract to Werm India Limited.
