Bangalore: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has said that the Ministry is likely to be expanded in the last week of this month and there will not be any further delay. The expansion was scheduled to take place in March, and then it was put off till April. Asked at a press conference here on Tuesday about the meeting of the coordination committee of the coalition partners, Mr. Kumaraswamy said an informal meeting was held on Monday, which was attended among others by the State unit presidents of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal (Secular), D.V. Sadananda Gowda and M.P. Prakash respectively. "It was a cordial meeting and differences, if any, have been sorted out." Even the Ministry expansion was discussed at the meeting, he said. Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister held a meeting with Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Cyriac Joseph and others to ensure better coordination between the judiciary and the State Government as suggested at a meeting held in New Delhi recently. The Chief Justice of India had organised that meeting with Chief Ministers of all the States. Apart from the Chief Minister, Law Minister Basavaraj Horatti, Advocate-General Uday Holla and the Law Secretary represented the Government. Accompanying the Chief Justice were two judges and the Registrar of the High Court. Mr. Horatti said the Government would hasten the pace of construction of new buildings for subordinate courts. A long list of proposals was presented to the Government at the meeting, and it would be attended to at the earliest, the Minister added.
