JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government's Language and Library Department has conferred the "Hindi service honour'' for this year on Nagendra Sharma of Jodhpur in recognition of authoring a book in Hindi on medical sciences. The honour will be given to Dr. Sharma on the Hindi Day. Education Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari said here on Tuesday that the department had decided last year to give the honour for producing original works in Hindi on technical subjects. Dr. Sharma will be given a cash prize of Rs. 51,000 under the honour. Dr. Sharma has authored the book "Maanav Mastishk Evum Mirgi'' (human brain and epilepsy) for medical students. It is stated to be the first book on a medical subject written originally in Hindi.
