ADILABAD: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials faced opposition of Asifabad town residents when they trapped the Superintendent of Area Hospital Asifabad John Bhaskar on Tuesday. According to reports the ACB team led by ACB DSP from Karimnagar, Laxminarayana and CI Adilabad Kiran Kumar trapped the doctor on the complaint of one Chandra Mohan of Godavarikhani town in Karimnagar. The doctor was trapped while allegedly receiving Rs. 1,000 as illegal gratification from Chandra Mohan who is an employee of a medical firm. When people came to know about it they descended on the hospital in large numbers and protested against the ACB move. The crowd reportedly even roughed up Chandra Mohan and confined the ACB team to a room for some time. However, this was denied by Kagaznagar DSP Devadanam. He said no case has been registered so far against the persons involved. Meanwhile, John Bhaskar was taken into custody by the ACB team to be produced at the ACB court in Hyderabad.
