Young talent selected

Dipin Divakar and Teenu Telense were selected as the best singers in the A.M. Paul Memorial Super Singer Competition, organised by the Ernakulam District Council for Child Welfare and Carol Media Private Limited. The competition had nearly 250 participants. Eight children were selected for the final round. The final jury comprised music director Alex Paul, film director Meccartin, singer Afsal and lyricist Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma. The organisers plan to launch the winners in the playback circuit. The other finalists - Arun Gopan, Vijeesh P and Rahul R. Lakshman among the boys and Sonia Samjad, Teena Joy and Radhika Sethumadhavan among the girls - will also be given one chance each in films. The final round was held at Indira Priyadarshini Children's Park on Sunday. The event was organised in memory of tabla player A.M Paul, father of the actor/director Lal and music director Alex Paul.
