An encounter theme

A real life encounter in Kupwara between the Indian Army and militants and the death of seven militants in the encounter have become the theme for a Malayalam film.

Superstar Mohanlal enacts the role of Major Mahadevan in the film titled `Keerthichakra.' The film is based on the experiences of Major Ravi who had served the Indian Army. Major Ravi wrote the script for the film that has been billed as a different one.

Biju Menon and a host of actors from Malayalam, Tamil actor Jeeva along with Gopika and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy figure in the cast.
