Vellayani Lake, a hot spot for angling

The Vellayani freshwater lake is emerging as a haven for anglers. This summer, several anglers equipped with foreign as well as locally-made fishing rods were spotted here. Rinku, an angling enthusiast, says summer is a good season for fishing at Vellayani. He says he has been able to catch a considerable number of pearl spot fish from Vellayani. He says the best time to drop the bait is immediately after a summer shower. . The best thing about angling here is not catching fish but relaxing on the sylvan shores of the lake, says another enthusiast.
