Banking on Anju Bobby George

Celebrity sports persons and Bollywood stars have always been the favourites for product endorsements. Even though the country has produced illustrious sports persons in other fields, few have become so popular that they can be considered safe bets for product endorsements. It thus comes as a surprise to see long jump star Anju Bobby George endorsing a brand of gingelly oil, while P. T. Usha is pushing tender coconuts for the Coconut Board. Whether the two women can influence the fortunes of these two products is something to be seen.
