NEW DELHI: With the rehabilitation process going according to plan, Sachin Tendulkar will commence light batting drills this week after physio John Gloster examined him on Tuesday. The BCCI secretary, Niranjan Shah, said in a statement that Tendulkar underwent a reassessment of his condition, five weeks after the shoulder surgery and would commence light drills within a week. "All aspects of the recovery have gone as planned and he has adapted well to the implementation of the strength components of his programme. Sachin has been advised further strengthening exercises as well as more functional shoulder activities," the statement said. "The original timeframe discussed by the surgeon at the time of the operation appears to be still relevant," it added. UNI
