ABVP stages protest against Kashmir killings

PROTESTS AGAINST TERRORISM: Members of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarti Parishad burning an effigy of terrorists in Hubli on Tuesday condemning the slaying of Indian engineer K. Suryanarayana by Taliban terrorists and the massacre in Kashmir Valley.

HUBLI: Several members of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a "rasta roko" here on Tuesday condemning the killing of Indian engineer K. Suryanarayana Reddy and the massacre of Hindus in the Kashmir Valley.

The ABVP members took out a protest march near the BVB College and then staged "rasta roko" for about 10 minutes. They burnt the effigy of the terrorists.

ABVP leaders urged the Centre to take stern action against terrorists and take steps to contain the proliferation of terrorism.

Umesh Dushi, Prakash Raikar, Shaswath Pujar, Mahendra Kautal, and Suhas Kalghatgi led the protest.
