State aviation corporation takes off

APACL will acquire, operate and maintain helicopters, aircraft

HYDERABAD: The Government has formed Andhra Pradesh Aviation Corporation Limited (APACL) with a view to ensuring all-round growth of the aviation sector. A press release said on Tuesday that APACL would acquire, operate and maintain helicopters and aircraft.

The Government and the corporation had already been working on a project to acquire a fixed wing executive jet and twin-engine multi-role helicopter.

APACL would also promote and run an aviation training academy.
