VIJAYAWADA: Moved by the plight of the Gampalagudem accident victims, Municipal Administration Minister Koneru Ranga Rao on Tuesday announced financial aid of Rs. 2,000 to each of the kin of the 10 labourers who were killed in Monday night's tragedy. He said the Congress would also extend financial help of Rs. 2,000 to each relative. The Minister visited Anumallanka on Tuesday and consoled the bereaved families. At the Government hospital in Tiruvuru, he interacted with survivors undergoing treatment. Vijayawada MP L. Rajagopal announced an ex gratia of Rs. 5,000 for the family members of the dead, while chairman of the local market yard D. Raghava Reddy announced aid of Rs. 500 each.
