HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board has announced a cash reward of Rs.3, 000 for each tanker to those who identify such vehicles indulging in illegal dumping of effluents and hazardous waste. Details of persons providing information would be kept confidential, a press release of the board said on Tuesday. According to the release, the reward was being given to encourage persons who give authentic information about the vehicles involved in the illegal dumping in the twin cities. For registration of complaints from Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Adilabad districts telephone number 9866776711(board office), 9866776712(task force) could be contacted. For the districts of Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Kurnool, Anantapur, Warangal, Karimanagar, Kadapa and Chittoor tel no. 986677741, 9866776742 could be contacted. In the case of Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna, East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Khammam districts tel no. 9866776733, 9866776735 (Vijayawada Task Force) could be contacted. During nights--from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.--complaints from the surroundings of Hyderabad city could be registered on 9866776755 (night patrolling team).
