Dattatreya's plea for funds

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: BJP leader Bandaru Dattatraya on Tuesday urged Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to release Rs. 200 crores for taking up several developmental works in Secunderabad, on the eve of week-long Secunderabad celebrations being launched on June 3.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, Mr. Dattatraya underlined the need for restoring the historical and archaeological monuments in Secunderabad besides sprucing up its infrastructure in a big way. He wanted the State Government to develop the civic infrastructure in Secunderabad by taking up projects for replacement of water supply pipelines, improving sewerage network and construction of recreation parks in the locality.
