NEW DELHI: The Air Corporations Employees Union (ACEU) has withdrawn its call for a nationwide strike on May 8 and suspended all agitational actions.

In a letter to the Indian Airlines Limited Chairman and Managing Director, Vishwapati Trivedi, the union welcomed the decision to appoint a committee to look into their problems.

Largest union

The ACEU is the largest union in Indian Airlines Limited, representing nearly 14,000 employees. Its decision to withdraw the strike call followed a meeting between Mr. Trivedi and the union leadership on Monday, an official release said here.
