SETWIN seeks funds

The Society for Employment Promotion and Training in Twin Cities (SETWIN) has urged Chief Minister Y.S. Rajashekhara Reddy, to release Rs. 4.45 crores from the budget allocation of Rs. 8.91 crores to meet the expenditure on salary, EPF and group gratuity of Setwin employees.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Setwin chairman M.A. Khan, said the organisation was facing much difficulty in meeting the expenditure towards payment of rents of buildings, raw material for training programme.

RTC to run EAMCET specials

The APSRTC city region will operate 40 special additional buses for the convenience of students appearing for Eamcet-06 on May 4. The buses would be operated from Mehdipatnam to CBIT/MBIT, Koti to JNTU, Secunderabad to JNTU, Koti to NGARAU, Koti to OU Campus, Secunderabad to OU Campus, Secunderabad to Jubilee Hills Check Post, Secunderabad to Mehdipatnam and Mehdipatnam to Gandipet, according to a release.

Book exhibition inaugurated

Visalandhra summer special book exhibition was inaugurated at the Visalaandhra Book House in Bank Street here on Tuesday. A variety of books including story books, drawing and painting books, jokes, English grammar, cartoons, comics, encyclopaedia in both Telugu and English.

There is a special discount of 10 to 50 percent on the books. The exhibition closes on May 21.
