Shanmughadas injured in accident

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Minister A.C. Shanmughadas, 61, was injured when the car in which he was travelling was hit by another car at Inchivila, Parassala, on Tuesday evening.

A pedestrian, Santhoshkumar, 15, was also knocked down by the car which then crashed into the former Minister's vehicle. The accident occurred when Mr. Shanmughadas; Varkala Ravikumar, State secretary, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP); and Kadakampalli Suku, district president, NCP; were returning to the city after participating in an election campaign in Tamil Nadu. The injured have been admitted to Medical College Hospital (MCH).

Man stabbed

Suresh, 34, a resident of Sreekaryam, who sustained stab wounds, was brought to Medical College Hospital on Tuesday evening by the Flying Squad.

Family injured

Four members of a family were injured when the car in which they were travelling overturned near Vembayam in the early hours on Tuesday. The injured are Sukumaran, 45, Geetha, 40, Srijith, 15, and Srirag, 12, residents of Peroorkada.
