M.Phil applications: The university has invited applications for the M.Phil programme in the departments of Aquatic Biology and Fisheries, Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Zoology, Demography, Linguistics, Tamil, Malayalam, English, Politics, Economics, Sanskrit, Commerce, Philosophy, Education, History, Psychology, Hindi, Sociology, Geology, Manuscript Library, Environmental Science, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Opto-electronics, Library and Information Science, Futures Studies, Russian and Archaeology for the academic year 2006-07.

The application forms for all courses, except the M.Phil programme at the Department of Futures Studies, can be had from the respective departments for Rs.25. The form from the Department of Futures Studies can be had from the department for Rs.160. The last date for submitting application forms is 3 p.m. on June 6.
