For his outstanding contribution to the Indian film industry

KOZHIKODE: The award instituted by the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy for outstanding contribution to the Indian film industry was presented to P.V. Gangadharan, chairman, Kerala State Film Development Corporation, and producer of several popular Malayalam films, at a function held in Mumbai, it was announced in Kozhikode.

The award was presented at a function held to mark the 137th birth anniversary of Dadasaheb Phalke.

The award comprises a statuette and citation.

Mr. Gangadharan later said in Kozhikode that the award was a milestone in his film career.

Actors Vidya Balan and Shreyas Talpade were among the others who received awards at the function.
