NIZAMABAD : Congress workers belonging to rival groups in the district jostled and came to blows for a while at the Roads and Buildings Guest House during the visit of APCC president K. Keshava Rao on Tuesday. As soon as the APCC president came out of the guest house, the waiting Congressmen shouted slogans in support of him. With supporters of Mahesh Kumar Goud, NSUI former State president who defected to Telugu Desam Party before general elections, continuing sloganeering, followers of DCC president G. Gangadhar pushed them aside leading to scuffle. The APCC chief left the place as if he was not aware of the clash, while some Congress leaders and policemen intervened and tried to pacify the rival groups. Earlier at Dichpally, both the groups clashed while welcoming Mr. Rao.
