PONDICHERRY : A large quantity of rectified spirit was seized from a village in Kuruvinatham constituency on Thursday. The spirit, stored in 135 cans, was a kept in an underground concrete bunker. Each can contained 45 litres and could be used to make 13,500 litres of arrack, according to the Excise Department. In this connection the department arrested one person.
