``A great loss''

Srinagar: The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah, and National Conference president Omar Abdullah on Thursday expressed grief over the passing away of senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, saying his untimely demise is a great loss to the nation.

"The death of Mahajan is an irreparable loss to the nation. His death has created a political vacuum in the country which is very difficult to fill," they said in a joint statement here.
