JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee and the State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Thursday condoled the death of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan. In Mr. Mahajan's untimely death the country had lost a promising public figure and competent political leader, the parties said. In a condolence message, PCC president B.D.Kalla termed Mr. Mahajan as a young political leader who had held lot of promise. The untimely demise of Mr.Mahajan was a loss to the nation, he said. The PCC functionaries, Hari Singh, Raghu Sharma, Mumtaz Masih, Rajendra Pareek, Virendra Punia, Satyyendra Singh Raghav also condoled Mr.Mahajan's death. Congress general secretary Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday had visited the Bharatiya Janata Party office on the Sardar Patel Marg here to join the condolence meeting attended by BJP State president Mahesh Sharma, party in charge Kalraj Misra and national vice president Kailash Meghwal. State Secretary of the CPI (M) Vasudev, in a message to BJP State president Dr. Sharma expressed his party's deep felt condolence on the passing away of the young leader.
