Bhavishya Nidhi Adalat

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation's sub-regional office here will conduct a `Bhavishya Nidhi Adalat' on May 10 at its office premises at NAD Kotha Road to redress grievances. EPF subscribers under its jurisdiction (Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts) may refer grievances before R.K. Kondru, Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (Coordination), duly marking (Bhavishya Nidhi Adalat) on or before May 10.

Protest rally on courier bill

Private courier operators on Wednesday took out a rally from Diamond Park to the Collectorate opposing the Courier Services (Amendment) Bill likely to be introduced in the next session of Parliament. They were mainly opposing the provision aimed at allegedly curtailing the business of courier services and benefting the Postal Department at their cost. Addressing a meeting, AP Couriers Association Visakhapatnam Chapter president Prasad Patnaik wanted recognition to courier services and a system where they work together with the Postal Department.
